Kelly Hall, President/CEO of the Longview Chamber of Commerce has been selected as an Education Attainment Fellow as part of a promising initiative led by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE). This fellowship is for chamber executives and senior staff working to improve the birth-to-career education pipeline in their communities.

Pine Tree High School students participating in the Young Entrepreneur Academy (YEA!) will present their business plans. The presentations will be made on Wednesday April 8 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. and will be made before the 2015 YEA! investor panel. These investors will help finance the student teams' business or social entrepreneurship plans.

AlleyFest 2015 in downtown Longview, Texas is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2015. The annual street festival which celebrates the arts of East Texas will be on Tyler St, Fredonia St. and Center St.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced their 2015 Blue Ribbon Small Business Award Winners for their success, innovation, and contributions to economic growth and free enterprise. Winners were selected out of a a record number of applicants from communities across the nation. Applicants are evaluated in four key areas including strategic planning, employee development, community involvement, and customer service.

The 33rd Annual Boat & RV Show will open to the public on Friday, January 23 and continue through Sunday, January 25th. The Boat & RV Show is produced by the Longview Chamber of Commerce. Presented by Nichols Marine with Gold sponsor Fastsigns. The show will feature a selection of campers, travel trailers, powerboats, luxury cruisers and fishing boats.

The Installation of a one-of-a-kind 3D window decal will begin at 9:00 a.m. on December 2nd in downtown Longview. This transformation will take place at 101 West Tyler Street and will be placed by Sign Pro of Longview. A must-see design, the decal is the second 3D version to be installed in the state of Texas; the first decal was unveiled in Fort Worth.

The Longview Chamber of Commerce recently announced the completion of the second phase of the Way-finding project for Longview. The Chamber, through the Longview Main Street launched its way-finding initiative in the summer of 2008 to provide a clear visual language and graphic standard that can be universally understood. More than just signs, this innovative navigational system provides the critical function of helping people find their way to popular landmarks and service districts in Longview.
