Visit Longview, the Longview Hospitality and Tourism Association, and the City of Longview Parks Department, invite Longview residences and businesses to participate in the annual community-wide, Longview Holiday Decorating Contest. Decorate your home or business, or just vote for your favorites! There is no charge to enter your residence or business in the contest.

Hallmark-Inspired Businesses Decorating Category Prizes:

• 1st place People’s Choice winner will receive cash or a gift card in the amount of $400.00
• 2nd place People’s Choice winner will receive cash or a gift card in the amount of $200.00
• The Creative Excellence Award winner will receive cash or a gift card in the amount of $400.00 and the distinguished honor of holding the Hallmark Creative Excellence Award traveling trophy for one year.

Hallmark-Inspired Residences Decorating Category Prizes: Sponsored by Hardin's ACE Hardware

• 1st place People's Choice winner will receive cash or a gift card in the amount of $100.00 from Hardin's ACE Hardware

How to Vote:

A self guided tour map of residences and businesses will be available. 

Voting Period: Monday, December 8 - Sunday, December 21
You will be able to vote for your favorite residence and business either online (1 point) or in person (5 points).
Online voting will be conducted by Facebook photo entry "Likes" and in person voting will be conducted at Visit Longview Marketplace and Gift Shop, located at 109 W. Tyler St., M-F, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Please read these rules and instructions and if you have any questions call us at (903) 753-3281.

1. Participation is open to all residences and businesses within the City of Longview.
2. Entry is free, no cost or fees apply.
3. Employees of the City of Longview are not eligible to participate.
4. Entry photo must be uploaded by Thursday, December 4, 2025
5. Contest is for exterior decorations only, including window decorations that are visible from the exterior. Judging will be done from outside the residence or business only.
6. Judging will be based on "curb appeal" as viewed from the street only. Therefore, only those decorations located on the front side of the property will be judged. (corner lots will be judged from both streets).
7. Participants agree to have one or more photos of their decorated residence or business exterior posted on the City of Longview and or Visit Longview Texas websites, Facebook and/or published in the local newspaper or media. Participants agree there will be no compensation of any kind for said posting or publication.
8. Judging criteria will include [a] Unique design and creative use of lights and decorations; [b] Storyline or theme; [c] Display and placement of decorations, animated objects, etc; and [d] Overall presentation.
9. The online People's Choice award winners will be determined by the entries which receive the most Facebook likes and in person votes.
10. Entry photos will be posted on Facebook, Monday, December 8, 2025.
11. Voting by Facebook likes will end at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2025.
12. Winners will be announced through a Facebook post on Monday, December 22, 2025.
