Fall is the time of year when trees drop their colorful leaves and cozy sweaters come out of storage. With the cooler temperatures comes an urge to explore our beautiful area and find some new haunts. We've pulled together a list to help you make the most of this wonderful time of year. Whether it's a trip to the pumpkin patch or simply stopping to savor a hot drink, be sure to plan some fun outings this fall.


1. CALLIE'S ACRE


Grab the kids and head to Calie’s Acre for pumpkin patch photo ops and a bouncy house to boot! Snack on some warm corn dogs and funnel cakes and wash it down with an icy lemonade. Did we mention that they have cotton candy, too?

2. SILVER GRIZZLY ESPRESSO

3. BOO & BREW


Celebrate the season with Longview Mall’s Boo & Brew that includes temporary tattoos, pumpkin painting, a fall selfie station and a cupcake walk!

4. SIP-N-SPOOK HALL-O-WINE WALK


Enoch’s Stomp is the perfect setting for a pumpkin carving contest and a moonlight hayride to the hill. Located just 30 minutes from Longview, this picturesque vineyard and winery will also feature the popular musical group, Covie, in concert.

5. SPOOKY FEST


Longview Arboretum’s first annual Spooky Fest is sure to be fun. Dress up the youngsters in their Halloween costumes and slink to the Arboretum for some early trick or treating, games, and even a costume contest. This event is great for the whole family, even the little ones. Pssst, it's really not that spooky…

6. PUMPKIN GLO


View the most spooktacular jack-o-lanterns and learn a little history of Halloween during the Gregg County Historical Museum’s Pumpkin Glo. Costumes are encouraged and chills are optional.

7. HOWL-O-WEEN VIRTUAL PET CONTEST


Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center’s annual Howl-O-Ween Pet Costume Contest is going virtual. Email a photo of your pet dressed in their adorable, creepy, or hilarious costume to whigginbotham@longviewtexas.gov. All the cute pics will be shared on social and winners will be announced via a Facebook Live video at noon on Halloween.

8. HOCUS POCUS MOVIE NIGHT


This entertaining event is planned by Red Bus Cupcakes and includes free Pupcakes for costumed doggies all day, free hay maze, and a family and pet photo area. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for viewing the movie, Hocus Pocus starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy. Ice cream, cupcakes, cupcake sundaes and cobbler are all available for purchase on the double decker bus.

9. CANDY CRAWL


What could be more fun than trick-or-treating around the Longview Mall? Stop by Center Quart for a gift then stock up on goodies from all the participating stores. Your little ghosts and goblins will thank you for it.

10. TRICK OR TREAT ON COLLEGE STREET


Enjoy Le Tourney University’s annual fall campus festival from the comfort of your car or truck. All are welcome to attend this drive-thru experience that includes candy and treats.
