People zip liningVisit Longview, the official tourism organization for Longview, is launching an Adventure & Outdoor Pass, a new program that aims to encourage visitors and residents to get out and explore the entire East Texas area. This program is part of a regional partnership called Go East Texas.

The free Adventure & Outdoor Pass is a mobile passport experience connecting you to the region’s top outdoor and adventure locations in Longview, Tyler and Kilgore. The pass enables you to receive exclusive discounts and deals at several participating locations.

Those who visit and check in at 10 locations on the pass will be entered to win an East Texas Getaway Package. The package will include lodging, restaurant gift cards, and other attraction tickets from the East Texas region. Winners are drawn twice a year in June and December.

"There is so much to explore throughout East Texas, and we hope visitors and residents can use this tool as a fun way to support local businesses and attractions in our region," said Shawn Hara, City of Longview Tourism and Media Manager. "We are thankful to our participating businesses and the opportunity to collaborate with neighboring communities."

How it Works

The concept is simple: go to GoEastTexas.com/Adventure on your mobile device, download the free pass and start adventuring. To sweeten the deal, if you check in at 10 locations, your name will be entered into a grand prize drawing for a Texas Getaway Package.

There are 22 locations to choose from with everything from adrenaline pumping zip lining to nostalgia inducing roller skating.

For a full list of locations and to download the Adventure & Outdoor Pass go to GoEastTexas.com/Adventure.

More About Go East Texas

Go East Texas is a regional collaboration between the destination marketing organizations in Longview, Tyler, and Kilgore. The mission of the group is to encourage residents to be a “tourist in their own backyard.” The Adventure & Outdoor Pass is the second of many digitally-driven tours that Go East Texas will be launching to inspire everyone to explore local businesses and attractions in the Piney Woods.

The first pass, the Thirsty Pines Tour, launched in June 2020. The Thirsty Pines Tour invites participants to take advantage of exclusive deals from the region’s best coffee shops, wine bars, and breweries. To see a full list of locations and to download the Thirsty Pine Tour go to GoEastTexas.com/Thirsty.

Enjoy the region like never before with these passes. There is no shortage of sights and sounds in these cities, but once you have a taste, you’ll want to try them all! Let’s Go East Texas!
