Best Spots for a Selfie

Longview is filled with beautiful backdrops and colorful corners that make perfect locations for taking a social media pic. Whether you like a majestic mural or a garden oasis, we’ve got a place that will take your Instagram or Snapchat photos to the next level. Check out our list of the best spots for a selfie.

SILVER GRIZZLY ESPRESSO’S MURAL

This berry and chartreuse toned work of art is striking in its grandeur. Located on the corner of Center and Tyler, the east-facing wall of Silver Grizzly Espresso serves as the perfect canvas for this eye-catching depiction of a lofty grizzly bear and bold beams of sunlight.

Local’s tip: If you can’t find a parking space right on the street, park in the free parking lot that is just south of the building across the railroad tracks.

IVY WALL AT THE VILLAGE

Just off Judson Road and Hollybrook lies the exclusive shopping center called The Village. Professional photographers have loved the walls of cascading ivy for decades and now influencers are utilizing the natural green vines for photo-worthy snaps.

Local’s tip: The most picturesque ivy is on the south-facing wall of Hurwitz of Longview.

LONGVIEW LETTERS AT HERITAGE PLAZA

A relatively new edition to downtown is the huge, white letters at Heritage Plaza that spell out “Longview” but one letter is noticeably absent. The “i” in Longview is meant to be filled in with a person and that’s exactly what aspiring models are doing at this fun, outdoor park.

Local’s tip: The best way to fit all the letters in the photo is from the side. Try different angles to see what looks best.

THE GIANT ADIRONDACK CHAIR AT LONGVIEW ARBORETUM

On the back side of the master-planned Longview Arboretum & Nature Center lies a big surprise. A huge, blue Adirondack chair that’s perfect for posing. Climb up in this huge piece of furniture and snap away. You’ll be sure to find some other pretty spots while you’re visiting this peaceful park.

Local’s tip: Longview Arboretum is closed Monday and Tuesday so stop by any other day of the week for $5 entry.

WILD HONEY CREAMERY

Almost every spot in this downtown ice cream shop screams, “selfie!” From the colorful wall murals to the neon wall art, this eatery is an influencer’s destination dream.

Locals tip: Try the vegan flavor and don’t miss the cute murals on the back porch!
